Yet beyond his immense contributions to human knowledge and technology, Dr. Turing's exceptional breakthroughs in cryptography were crucial to the allied victory in World War II. How did the Allies repay Turing, a hero who incidentally was also homosexual? When his sexuality was discovered, the British government proceeded to revoke his security clearance and force him to undergo chemical treatment to reduce libido, as he was guilty of "gross indecency." One of the greatest geniuses of all time proceeded to commit suicide upon a cyanide laced apple.

Death and depression is brought upon not only the innocent, but the most productive, influential, and intelligent members of society.
